Two weeks from now Christmas 2010 will be just a memory.
- For many cash-strapped families there will be a temporary sense of relief that the Christmas spend is over and that life can return to a kind of normality. Traders will probably admit to a drop from accustomed boom-time sales, but overall, and in the general interest this will be a sign that people are taking control of their dwindling purse contents.
